8 Misconceptions About Growth That May Be Holding You Back From Growing Intentionally!

People are anxious to improve their circumstances but are unwilling to improve themselves therefore they remain bound( James Allen" As a man thinketh")

                                                           1. The " assumption" gap
I assume I will automatically grow. This misconception comes from our subconscious belief that personal growth comes automatically. When we are children we don't put any effort into our physical growth, but we continue growing, so we subconsciously carry this erroneous assumption into all other types of growth like emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Once we are done with our formal education we must take ownership of the educational process into our own hands. No wind favors him who has no destined port (Michel De Mountain) if we want our lives to improve we must improve yourselves and we must make it a tangible target
                                                              2. The "knowledge" gap
I don't know  how to grow. If we are clear with what we want the world responds with clarity. Most people don't act as quickly. As they should on their decisions and only to themselves subject to the
                                                              3. The "timing" gap
I dont have time to begin. Law of diminishing intent- the longer you wait to do something you should do now the greater the odds you'll never actually do it. The reality is that will never get much done unless you do it before you are ready
                                                               4. The "mistake" gap
I'm afraid of making mistakes. Growing is messy, you will make mistakes, look foolish and will have to admit you don't have all the answers. That's the admission price if you want to improve. " what would you attempt to do if you knew you wouldn't fail?" Mistakes are a sign you are moving in the right direction( Robert H. Scheuller)
                                                              5. The "Perfection" gap
I have to find the best way before I start. In reality it works the other way around.ideally we'd like to see the whole route before we begin but you see it progressively, as you move forward a little more of the road is revealed to you! If you want to see more of the way, then get moving!
                                                              6. The "inspiration" gap
I don't feel like doing it. Just do it. The whole idea of motivation is a trap!!! It does not exist( a Russian saying goes" appetite comes as you start eating" ) do whatever needs to get done and motivation will come in the process. After you start motivation comes and makes it easy to keep on doing it!!! Motivation is like love and happiness, it's a byproduct of our actions!!!! When you actively engaged in doing something it it sneaks up and zaps you when you least expect it. You are more likely to act yourself into feeling, then feel yourself into acting(Jerome Bruno Harvard ph.d ) whatever you need to do- Do it. You might not feel inspired to aggressively pursue a growth plan because you haven't started yet. The reasons to keep growing far outweigh the reasons to start growing. You discover the reasons to keep growing only if you stick with it long enough to reap benefits of it! Make a commitment to stay with growth for at least 12 months, if you do , you will fall in love with the process.
                                                             7. The "comparison" gap
Others are better than I am. At first you will feel like you are behind on your growth if you won't get over the comparison gap. You will have to learn to become comfortable outside of your comfort zone.
                                                              8.  The "expectation" gap
I thought it would be easier than this. It is not easy to grow, it is not easy to clime to the top. We create our own luck. The formula for luck = preparation( growth) + attitude + opportunity + action. We need to make a transition towards intentional growth. The sooner we become intentional about it the better, because growth compounds and accelerates with time!!!
